Canada's population is only one-ninth of the United States but proportionally, it has already taken in 2.6 times as many refugees as the United States. Adjusting to life abroad can be quite difficult for many families as they begin settling in a new home. The Western Toronto Tzu Chi Liaison Office joined hands with the Arab Community Center of Toronto to distribute food items consistent with a Middle Eastern diet to these families. Tzu Chi also pledged it’s continued commitment to aid refugees in Canada.
